Online Travel Vietnam: The Phu Yen Provincial People’s Committee, UNESCO Vietnam and the UNESCO Department for International Cultural Relations, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Thursday discussed the dossier of Xuan Dai Bay before summiting it to UNESCO for its recognition as a Human Heritage.

Xuan Dai Bay is located near Song Cau Town in Phu Yen Province, with over 130.45 square kilometres of water surface and surrounded by green coconut forests. Xuan Dai Bay has many seductive beaches such as Vung La, Vung Su, and Vung Chao with islands and peninsulas such as Ong Xa, Nhat Tu Son, Da Mai, and Tai Ma. It is also famous for precious and rare sea products, such as Song Cau crabs, lobsters, and groupers.

Participants were briefed about the scientific researches on historical, cultural, economic and social values of the Bay and two other national heritages, the lithophone (an ancient musical instrument made from stone) and Tuy An stone horn and made contributions to the dossier to make it more complete and convincing.
