Put some passion into passion fruit

For fresh juice, the simplest way is by putting the flesh into water with some sugar and ice. However, to make the juice more delicious, put some honey into a cup or mix with the flesh of pineapple.

If you have more time, you can try passion fruit ice-cream for dessert at a weekend party. Put whipped cream with a bit of agar powder and sugar into a pot, cook until the soup is almost boiled then pour passion fruit flesh into the soup and stir until boiled.

Put the soup into cups and then into the fridge for an hour or two until they become hard. When eating, people should put some fresh passion fruit flesh over the cup.

Making passion fruit jelly is almost the same process. You boil rau cau (edible seaweed powder) with water and sugar for about 10 minutes, and then stir the water on the gas cooker. After that, when the water cools down to about 30 degrees Celsius, put some passion fruit flesh into the water and stir regularly.

Then, put flesh onto a cup or shapes and pour the soup over it. Put more flesh over it and put in the fridge until it becomes hard.

People also use passion fruit as a sauce to serve with grilled chicken or fish.

Passion fruit is easy to find in markets priced at about VND10,000 per kilogram. Try your cooking talents and enjoy them with passion fruit. The light sweet and sour flavor will spoil your tongue.
