Tours to central region, economy tours attract travelers

Online Travel Vietnam: The central coast, which is the home of some of the most famous beaches on the planet, such as Da Nang, Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon and Phu Yen, is really the favorite destination for travelers this summer, who like beautiful beaches and professional services.

Flocking to beaches to avoid summer heat

Just a few years ago, when planning tourism trips, northerners would immediately think of familiar sites such as Do Son in Hai Phong City, Sam Son in Thanh Hoa, Cua Lo in Nghe An or Hai Thinh. However, recently, people tend to go farther to the south to the central coast.

"In the last three years, my family often chooses Da Nang, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon ... as our destinations, since the beaches in the north are increasingly degraded, the seas are dirty and the cost of services is exorbitant," said Nam, an employee of Agribank.

"Traveling in Central Coast is a bit most costly, but in return, prices are more reasonable and affordable," he added.

According to some travel companies, the number of tourists going to the Central Coast tourists has been increasing in the past three years. Since it is really hot this summer in the North, travelers have been flocking to the central coast, which explains why the number of tourists has increased 30 to 40% compared to the previous one.

There is another reason that attracts northerners--the hotel room rates here are quite cheap, even cheaper than that set up by many hotels in the north. Besides, the fascinating promotions such as discounting room rentals, often resort senior discounts, offering free buffets, free associated services... are really attractive in the eyes of travelers.

The tours to the highlands which have cool climate such as Sa Pa (in Lao Cai), Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc province) have also been chosen by many travelers. Currently, hotel room rate in Sa Pa in the weekend is from 350,000 to 600.000 dong per night. However, as the demand is high, while the number of hotel rooms is limited, local hotels sometimes raise the room rates to high levels, especially on holidays or extremely hot days.

Economy tours now a tendency

In the context of high inflation, when people have to fasten their belt, economy tours (IKO travel) have become the choice of many families thanks to the big discount rates, upgraded service quality and diversified destinations. If tourists take normal tours, especially during hot summer days, they often get tired since repeated programs leave them no time to rest. Therefore, their bodies are always in a state of fatigue. That's why many people have registered with IKO travel tours, so that they would be able to actively choose the routes by themselves. "We students enjoy economy tours because we can save 10-20 percent of expenses in comparison with the conventional ones. Moreover, we can seize control of our time and explore freely, not just sitting all day in the car and seeing things through the windows as usual", said Nguyen Hoang Anh - a student of Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. However, travelers still complain that there are few new tour products. Sometimes travel firms just add some new points of sight-seeing to the already existing programs in order to create new tourism products. This is a kind of putting "old wine into new bottles". Actually, it is very difficult to launch new tour products now, because surveying and finding out a new tour route is not easy, while the familiar destinations have all been exploited. Therefore, some travel companies have launched several open tours with the routes chosen by the customer in order to solve this problem.
