GOLDEN TRIANGLE OF THE NORTH TOUR (4 Days 3 Nights)
Places to visit: Chiang Mai–Golden Triangle–Palong Hilltribe Village–Mae Hong Sorn
DAY 1: CHIANG MAI – GOLDEN TRIANGLE (L)
After you breakfast, we then leave from Chiang Mai via Doi Saket, Wieng Papao, Mae Suay and Chiang Rai. Stop to visit the Hot Spring on the way. And then go to Chiang Rai city via Mae Chan. Lunch at the restaurant in Chiang Rai city. After that, drive to visit the first capital of Lanna Kingdom at Chiang Saen city. An ancient town located on the bank of the Mekong River. Ruins of the old double city walls and many other antiquities remain both inside and outside the district town, see many ruins of the old part at Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Pa Sak and take long tails boat on Khong River for 45 minutes to Golden Triangle. Arrive the Golden Triangle where is located in Sop Ruak, a small town, which sits at the meeting point of the Thai, Burmese and Laos borders. See the panoramic view of the three countries met (Laos, Myanmar and Thailand) Transfer to stay at hotel nearby Golden Triangle on your reservation.

DAY 2: GOLDEN TRIANGLE – DOI MAE SALONG – CHIANG DAO – PALONG HILLTRIBE (B, L, D)
Breakfast at hotel. After that, leave from hotel 4x4 WD to the Myanmar border at Mae Sai. Enjoy shopping the Myanmese Items. Continue up the hill to Doi Mae Salong. Drive along the winding and bumpy road visit Yao hilltribe village at Baan Lao Sib, continue through the jungle to visit Akha village at Baan Ar Le, Baan Ar Sae. Continue to Lisu village a Baan Thaat. Continue drive to the main road to top of Doi Mae Salong. Lunch at the Salima Chinese restaurant. After lunch, walk to visit the Chinese settlement (Use to be the Chinese refugee camp or 93rd division of Chiang Kai Chek). Drive down the hill via Thaton, Fang and Chiang Dao. Continue drive to Palong Hilltirbe village at Baan Pang Dang. In general, the Palongs can be found in Burma's eastern Shan state. They belong to the Mon-Khmer branch of the Austro-Asiatic linguistic family. Their main livelihood is the cultivation of Tanatep, a large leaf to wrap burmese cigars. Both men and women decorate their teeth with gold. Arrive the village relax by see the simple life and chitchat with the local Hilltribe people. Dinner and overnight the village. (Guide will cook for clients with easy Thai cuisine, Sleep in the Bamboo cottage, dormitory room)

DAY 3: PALONG HILLTRIBE VILLAGE – PAI – TAM LORD – TEMPLE – MAE HONG SORN (B, L)
Breakfast at the village. After that, leave from Palong hilltribe by village 4x4 WD. via Pai and Tham Lod. Visit the biggest cave in Mae Hong Sorn called “Tham Lod” Tham Lod, or Tham Nam Lod, is a 400 m deep cave with a wide stream running through it. This cave is home to many wonderful stalactites. In addition, Tham Lod is also the site of numerous archaeological finds. And take the short bamboo raft to see the ancient cemetery inside the cave. See the beautiful stalactite and Stalagmite and Stalactite.
Picnic lunch will be provided. And then transfer to visit Lahu hilltribe village at Baan Mae Lana, Fish cave (Tam plaa in Thai) national park. The park surrounds a place where a small stream emerges from the rock face of a hill. However, there are definitely fish. Big brook carp of a kind found only in a very few places in Thailand. Arrive Mae Hong Sorn, is known for its charm of scenery and culture. Visit the beautiful Myanmar style temple at Wat Jong Come, Wat Jong Klang, Wat Doi Kong Moo and Wat Hao Wieng. After that grive to hotel for check in and free on own.

DAY 4: MAE HONG SORN – CHIANG MAI - DEPARTUE (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel. After that transfer to the elephant camp for elephant ride for 1 hour through the jungle, then take boat trip on Pai River for 45 minutes to the bridge pier. Continue drive along the bumpy road to visit the Padong “Long – necked” tribe and “Long –eared” tribe at Baan Nai Soi. World famous longneck tribe one of the hill tribe immigrate to live in Thailand for a long time. The people are helpful friendly and lovely. Women of this wear brass ring on their necks and limbs. The number of the rings increases according to their ages. Their shoulders are pressed lower while their necks seem to be longer and longer. Lunch at the restaurant in Mae Hong Sorn and then transfer to Mae Hong Sorn airport for take flight back to Chiang Mai (For some clients, take the connecting flight to Bangkok).
