GOLDEN TRIANGLE CHIANG MAI - CHIANG RAI (5 Days / 4 Nights)
A chance to visit the famous Golden Triangle where the borders of Thailand, Burma and Laos meet! An early morning drive through beautiful scenery, with a stop at the Hot Springs at Maekajan, culminates in the chance to explore this world -famous spot, notorious for its opium trade!
DAY 1: BANGKOK ARRIVAL
Upon arrival, meet & greet at the airport then transfer to the hotel. After check in, free & relax on own. Overnight in Bangkok
DAY 2: GRAND PALACE, EMERALD BUDDHA AND CITY TEMPLE TOUR (B)
After Breakfast, and then visit of Grand Palace, surrounded by a high wall, covers nearly asquare mile and, in its original form, was a conscious evocation of the one in Ayutthaya, divided into an outer part for government offices, a central portion containing the king’s living quarters and audience halls, and an inner area for female members of the royal family and their attendants. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), with its solid jade Buddha Image, truly complements anybody’s visit to Thailand. Visit the Throne Hall, State Reception Hall, and the Coronation Hall. Dress Code: For religious reasons, ladies must have their shoulders covered and cannot wear shorts or very short skirts. Shoes must be removed before entering the Emerald Buddha Temple and sandals are not permitted. Continue to visit to Wat Traimit, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, the temple is famous for its 900-years old five-and-a-half-ton solid gold image, and then continue to visit Wat Arun, perhaps better known as the Temple of the Dawn, is one of the best known landmarks and one of the most published images of Bangkok. After that, visit to Wat Po, the largest and oldest temple in Bangkok, as well as the largest single Buddha image: the Reclining Buddha (Phra Buddhasaiyas), also known as Wat Phra Chetuphon or The Temple of the Reclining Buddha. The temple is also known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage Reclining Buddha. Transfer from hotel to Railway Station (Hualampong Station) for taking train to Chiang Mai *Train no. 1 - Express night train from Bangkok 18:00 hrs. to Chiang Mai 07:15 hrs. *Train no. 13 - Express night train from Bangkok 19:35 hrs. to Chiang Mai 09:45 hrs. DAY 3: CHIANG MAI (B)
Arrival Chiang Mai Station, welcome and transfer with guide to hotel Check-in at hotel Lunch free at leisure Afternoon, drive up Doi Suthep Mountain to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a landmark of Chiang Mai where the holly relics of Lord Buddha are enshrined in the towering golden stupa. The panoramic view of Chiang Mai and the surrounding countryside is significantly attractive for visitors.Dinner free at leisure Overnight in Chiang Mai.
DAY 4: FULL DAY TOUR AT CHIENG RAI GOLDEN TRIANGLE (B, L)
After breakfast at hotel and then join one day trip visit to the hot spring on the way to Chiang Rai. Then, continue to the ancient city, Chiang Saen. After that, carry on the three country borders meet which is called "Golden Triangle" and lunch. After lunch, drive to visit Mae Sai, the Thailand and Myanmar border city. Finally, visit the Akha and Yao Hilltribe Village on the way back to Chiang Mai Overnight in Chiang Rai
DAY 5: CHIANG RAI – CHIANG KHONG (B)
Breakfast at hotel Transfer to Chiang Khong and then by boat to Houeisay to cross Mekong River to Laos border.
